If you miss a session without notifying your therapist at least 24 hours in advance, it is considered a no-show. If you cancel your session less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, it is considered a late cancellation, even if you provide an explanation to your therapist.
All no-shows and late cancellations are subject to a fee unless:
Your therapist is notified 24 to 48 hours before your scheduled appointment, or
You are able to reschedule within the same week (subject to therapist availability).
Please note that therapists are often fully booked, so same-week rescheduling cannot be guaranteed.
Clients are allowed a short grace period before a session is considered missed:
5 minutes for free 15-minute consultations
5 minutes for 30-minute sessions
10 minutes for 50-minute therapy sessions and assessments
After the applicable grace period, the session will be cancelled and a no-show fee will apply.
If you miss two consultation appointments, please email [email protected] to determine whether another consultation can be accommodated.
Fees are charged as follows:
First no-show or late cancellation: $30
Second: $60
Third: $90
Fourth or more: Full session fee Individual sessions: $250 Couples sessions: $300
These fees apply regardless of any reduced session rate you may receive.
Multiple no-shows or late cancellations may result in your recurring appointment time being assigned to another client. If you return for services, you may need to select a new appointment time or be placed on the waitlist until an opening becomes available.
All clients are required to keep a valid credit or debit card on file. You may be asked to provide this information in more than one intake document. Please complete the information wherever requested.
Your card will only be used to process:
No-show or late cancellation fees
Copays, when applicable
If you do not provide a card on file, any applicable no-show fee will be added to your next appointment, and payment must be made before your session can begin.
If you are receiving out-of-network services through Advekit, cancellation fees will be charged according to The SWEET Network's policy.
